Azahir’s Mission

Azahir is a community-based Lebanese NGO working in the most marginalized areas of northern Lebanon to empower vulnerable children and refugees in conflict-prone areas like Akkar and Nahr el Bared Refugee Camp. Our mission is to ensure every child has the right to a safe, nurturing environment, promoting stability and peace in underserved communities and high-risk areas. We emphasize education, psycho-social support, and youth leadership, training young people to be educators and role models.

Our vision is a cohesive society where empowered youth lead communities towards resilience and peace. Operating efficiently, we direct resources to ground-level activities, managed by local youth teams in our community centers, ensuring maximum impact with minimal administrative costs.

Guiding Principles: 🔸Child Protection 🔸Human Rights 🔸Women Empowerment 🔸Education for All 🔸Tolerance & Coexistence.

Our Four Pillars:

  • 🔸 Youth Empowerment through skills-training and community leadership.
  • 🔸 Child Education and Psycho-social Support (PSS) with art, music, and sports programs.
  • 🔸 Safe Spaces & Child Protection in our community centers.
  • 🔸 Social Cohesion through Sport, using football for peace-building.
